Life Beyond The Cubicles and Fluorescent Lights

WHAT I DO WHEN I'M NOT MAKING THE INTERNET

I am the father of two boys ages 15 and 19. It is a wonderful age. You get regular sleep, no one poops in their pants and both of them seem to like me.

I am also parent to two amazing rescue pitbulls; Elvis Carter and Charlotte Ray. They are, hands down, the bestest doggos.

I run, bike, hike and also play soccer in an over 40 league where most of the people have some sort of brace on their knees. I also follow the British Premier League. We’re big Tottenham Hotspur fans. #COYS. If you enjoy following a team that plays fantastic 90% of the time and chokes horribly when it counts, boy do I have a team for you.

I’ve played piano (and keyboards) for most of my life. In the 80s and 90s I tried the rock star thing but now I just play in whatever local band will have me. Yes, I have seen the episode of friends where Ross plays keyboards.

My current set up for gigs is down to a Roland Fantom-06. It’s lightweight, does everything and plays well with my mac. I sometimes run VSTs (software synths), usually the Roland Jupiter 8 and JD-880 and an Oberheim emulator by Sonicprojects. All controlled by Mainstage.

I love all kinds of music, especially mopey English alternative and Punk. Like Black Flag/Bad Religion punk, not, Good Charlotte punk. I really love Peter Gabriel era Genesis.

It’s a little cliche, but, I am Italian and Spanish and yes, I learned to cook by watching the women in my family make the most amazing meals. I have been told I am fairly ok at it. My wife is an amazing cook and baker in her own right and we sometimes do a little catering as a side-hustle.

I love video games, mostly nerdy RPGs, but, some sports games too. Recently I’m coming off a long spell of MMORPGs and now playing more consoles, but, for about two solid years I was a tailor on Ultima Online. Do with that information what you will.
